Debate: Healthcare Access and Affordability in the Age of Covid-19: More Regulation or Less?

The debate resolution: Increasing government regulation and intervention in the American healthcare market will best ensure citizens have accessible, affordable healthcare. The unfolding of the Covid-19 pandemic in the USA is evidence of this reality.

David Kendall, Senior Fellow for Health and Fiscal Policy at Third Way, spoke for the affirmative. Dr. Robert Graboyes, Senior Research Fellow and health care scholar at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, spoke for the negative. Peter Carson, leader of the North America Public Affairs Practice at Weber Shandwick | Powell Tate served as the moderator.
