The 2022-2023 Smith Soc academic year is off to a fast start, with chapters across the globe enthusiastically engaging with speakers and each other. Rice (Jones) kicked-off the year by inviting Nicole Gelinas to speak on inflation to a group of more than 60 case comp participants. Other chapters also began their programming with important programming topics: Emory (Goizueta) hosted Michael Hendrix for a productive discussion on small business regulation; members from Reichman University, Israel, met with Diana Furchtgott-Roth on the U.S. policy landscape; and CU Boulder (Leeds) hosted a watch party of the recent Readers’ Roundtable. In addition, chapters across the nation from Dartmouth (Tuck) to Texas (McCombs) all hosted highly successful opening socials, with some reaching over 60 new members.
