Keynote Speeches by Andrew Puzder, Bobby Tudor Highlight Successful Smith Soc National Meeting

The Adam Smith Society held its fourth National Meeting on Friday February 19th and Saturday February 20th in New York City. Members from every chapter were in attendance as members were treated to a full program of lectures, disucssions, forums, breakout networking sessions, and the annual trivia competitition.

Addressing the meeting on Friday evening were Marilyn Fedak with the welcome address, respresentatives from the leadership of the various chapters nominated for awards, and the evening keynote was delivered by Bobby Tudor of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Participants were greeted with a full program on Saturday. Evan Baehr of Able Lending gave a talk based on his book, Get Backed, in the morning, and then led a covnersation with Steven Klinsky of New Mountain Capital on going good as a business leader. Andrew Puzder of CKE Restaurants delivered the luncheon keynote. Two panels on politics followed in the afternoon, with Tom Beven of RealClearPolitics moderating William Kristol of The Weekly Standard and William Galston of Brookings in the first; Oren Cass of MI moderated Avik Roy of MI and Grant Calder of Wispeo in the second. John Stossel of Fox Business Network moderated the annual trivia competition. The evening concluded with a final reception and the presentation of the annual chapter awards.
