The Smith Soc Chapter at Southern Methodist University in Dallas got the Fall 2016 semester got off to a enthusiastic start. They welcomed Marilyn G. Fedak to campus for a talk, "Leading for a Free Market." Ms. Fedak, the Founder of the Marilyn G. Fedak Capitalism Project and Vice President Emeritus of AllianceBernstein spoke about the challenges that the free market system faces in our current moment, and the role that young, engaged business leaders committed to capitalism can play in maintaining and strengthening our market-based society and institutions. Ms. Fedak was welcomed to the SMU campus by members of the leadership team of the chapter: Brenton Schiffer, President; Taylor Gillig, VP of Operations; and David Trent, VP of Personnel. Having been founded earlier this year, the SMU chapter is looking forward to its first full academic year of on-campus events.
