On April 3, the Berkeley Haas chapter welcomed Founder and CEO of The Production Board Dave Friedberg for a discussion on fiscal responsibility and the critical role markets play in spurring innovation. Reihan Salam introduced the discussion, which touched on the important role entrepreneurs play in solving societal problems. Friedberg stressed the need to unleash American innovation in light of the rising U.S. national debt, which is outpacing non-financial productivity gains.
Berkeley Haas chapter leader Andrew Sova led the interview with Friedberg, who ended their discussion on the importance of open discourse. Friedberg closed by noting that the most important lesson was to be a free thinker and that moving beyond reductive categorizations is “a really powerful place to be.”
