On Friday March 31st, Smith Soc members from our chapter at the Brandeis International Business School made a Trek last week to New York City to explore Wall Street and Midtown firsthand, and meet directly with several Smith Soc alumni.
At a mid-day luncheon at the Penn Club, Brandeis members met with three Smith Soc alumni:
- Rob Li, a Columbia MBA and Yale undergrad -- a co-founder of Marengo and also a semifinalist on season 7 of Shark Tank, he currently works at Stone Forest Capital.
- Jarett Goldman, a Columbia MBA and Cornell undergrad -- fluent in Mandarin, he worked for Citi in Hong Kong for several years, and is currently a VP at Antarctica Capital.
- Franck Litzler earned his MBA at Dartmouth's Tuck School, and currently works in private banking, specializing in serving the needs of ultra high net worth individuals and families.
In their talks, our almuni focused on career advice, especially how to navigate international financial institutions versus ones in the U.S. They also spoke of the importance of networking and staying involved with groups like the Adam Smith Society post-graduation.
