April 05, 2017

On Tuesday, April 4th, the Adam Smith Society chapter at Duke University Fuqua School of Business welcomed entrepreneur and angel investor Christina Bechhold to campus. She is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Empire Angels, a venture capital and angel investing firm. Her work focuses on sourcing and leading group investments as well as supporting portfolio companies.

The Fuqua chapter was happy to welcomed a female business leader campus on Equal Pay Day. Christina's engaging discussion focused around venture capital, angel investing and corporate venture capital. She spoke about her firm, Empire Angels, how it came into existence and has since evolved. She gave the audience her views on how to wade through the sea of good and poor investment opportunities, diversification and the "hot" areas to invest in right now. The chapter reported that the event was standing room only and Christina spoke to a curious and captivated audience.
