Please join the Adam Smith Society’s New York City Professional Chapter on Tuesday evening December 8th for a private dinner with Paul Atkins, CEO of Patomak Global Partners and former Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

During his two terms as a Commissioner of the SEC, Atkins advocated for better transparency and consistency in the SEC’s decision-making and enforcement activities and smarter regulation that considers costs and benefits. He represented the SEC at the US–EU Transatlantic Economic Council, the President’s Working Group on Financial Markets, the World Economic Forum, and the Transatlantic Business Dialogue. He was also appointed by Congress to serve from 2009 to 2010, as a member of the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

We have asked Commissioner Atkins to join us to discuss his thoughts about the future of financial regulation, both as an issue in the 2016 election and beyond.

A reception will begin at 6:30PM. Dinner and discussion will begin at 7:00PM. RSVP's will be taken on a first come, first served basis and limited seats are available.
