The Adam Smith Society’s New York City professional chapter is hosting KKR's Ken Mehlman for a private dinner on Tuesday, March 29 to discuss the 2016 election cycle and the future of party politics.

Ken Mehlman is the Global Head of Public Affairs at KKR where he assess and improves the companies KKR invests in by better understanding and managing geopolitical risk and the interests of their key stakeholders. Mr. Mehlman also oversees the firm’s global external affairs activities, including corporate marketing, regulatory affairs, and public policy & communications.

In his 20s and 30s, Mr. Mehlman rose through the ranks of the national GOP, serving as campaign manager for President George W. Bush’s successful 2004 re-election. He was also the 62nd chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) and has held high level positions in Congress and the White House.
