The topic of this event was economic empowerment of minority communities. After watching the Tedx Video (Maggie Anderson's 'Economic Lifespan of a Dollar'), one of our executive committee members facilitated a discussion that focused on economic empowerment of minority communities. The discussion focused on building up minority communities through individual decisions to support minority owned business. Throughout this discussion, entrepreneurship and individual decision making were common themes among participants.
