The Rice Chapter was excited to host Former Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, the 2nd-longest serving lieutenant governor in the history of Texas (many will say that this is the most powerful political position in Texas). He was also a CEO of successful energy company that sold for $226 million in 1996. The chapter co-hosted the event with the Rice Energy Club and had over 50 people in attendance.
