What do Uber, Fan Duel, and Mike Bloomberg have in common? Bradley Tusk. The founder and CEO of Tusk Holdings, he was a key figure in devising Uber's strategy against the NYC Taxi Licensing Commissions, helped Expedia fend off attempts by the hotel industry to pass new taxes on online travel booking, and run campaigns for a variety of clients that merge the worlds of public policy and technology.
Before founding Tusk Holdings, Bradley Tusk served as Mike Bloomberg’s campaign manager. He previously ran Lehman Brothers’ lottery privatization group and held the position of Deputy Governor of Illinois, overseeing the state’s finances, operations, legislation, communications and policy, including a $60 billion budget and a 57,000-person workforce.
Given his extensive background in public service, Tusk is an expert on helping businesses navigate government regulations within the existing political climate. As someone who has worked at the intersection of public policy and business development, he will share his experiences and discuss the challenges faced by today's businesses as well as what private and public institutions can do to promote competition.
