Election 2016 is in the books, with a different outcome than many in the media predicted. The Trump administration will commence in January, bringing with it a Republican-controlled Congress, and the potential to shift the balance of power in the Supreme Court. It's fair to say the effects of the most contentious Presidential campaigns in history will be with us for a while. We can't help but think: What Just Happened? Matthew Dowd will help provide the answers.
Matthew has helped shape strategies and campaigns for CEOs, corporations, foundations, governments, candidates, and presidents—and we are pleased to have his insight as we de-brief after this long election season. Join the Austin Professional Chapter for a happy hour and informal discussion — and find out what we can expect over the next four years.
Matthew Dowd currently serves as a special correspondent and analyst for ABC News where he appears on This Week, Good Morning America, and Nightline, and he has written regular pieces for publications like National Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, and the Huffington Post. He is co-author of the New York Times bestseller Applebee’s America: How Successful Political, Business and Religious Leaders Connect with the New American Community.
