March 28, 2016

The Smith Soc chapter at UC-Berkeley's Haas School of Business hosted Paul McCulley on March 28th.

McCulley was a Managing Director and Chief Economist for PIMCO, where he worked under Bill Gross. He retired from PIMCO in 2015, and has been a featured commentator on CNBC.

He gave an informative and engaging talk to our Haas chapter members, covering the ISLM (Investment/Savings - Liquidity/Money Supply) model and its impact on current events, including the "Liquidity Trap" and the current election cycle, and he talked about current monetary policy. Our members especially appreciated McCulley's depth of knowledge and passion.
