Please join us for the Adam Smith Society’s 2017 National Meeting. Important information regarding registration and travel/lodging reimbursement for student members follows.

Our full meeting agenda is still in formation but a general timeline can be found on the registration page. All sessions have time allotted for audience Q&A.  

REGISTRATION:

Please note that the number of participants is limited. While we would like to include all Adam Smith Society members, we are focused on providing an intimate environment where MBA students and professional members will have opportunities to network with speakers, VIPS and other attendees. To ensure your space, please register ASAP by clicking below. If your chapter is sold out, please contact us at adamsmith@manhattan-institute.org to be placed on the waitlist. 

TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENTS:

All student members are eligible for a 50% travel scholarship to cover coach class transportation expenses (air, car, train, bus) and transportation to/from the airport/train station. Funds are provided on a reimbursement basis, and will be processed following the event, assuming the requisite forms and receipts are submitted in a timely manner. We do not reimburse for the cost of food, seat upgrades, checked baggage, or travel that was booked less than a week in advance. 

LODGING:

Complimentary shared lodging is available for all out-of-town student attendees for both Friday and Saturday nights. A block of rooms has been reserved at the InterContinental New York Barclay, where the conference will be held. Please indicate on your registration whether you will require a hotel room and any roommate preferences you may have. (Note: Most rooms are double-occupancy, and you will be assigned a roommate unless you make other arrangements, per the below.) Complimentary hotel rooms cannot be guaranteed after March 21, 2017. 

Single rooms are extremely limited and also cannot be guaranteed. If you would like to guarantee a single room, you may book your own reservation directly through the hotel. Please note if you choose to do this, you will be required to pay the full amount of the hotel room. Please contact Alissa Yi if you'd like to book your own room in our block. 

Please note that your room confirmation will be provided separately, and at a later date. Upon check-in, you will be required to provide a credit card for security and incidentals, however the Adam Smith Society will cover the room charges and all applicable taxes directly.

SPOUSES & SIGNIFICANT OTHERS:

We welcome members’ spouses and significant others to join us at the closing cocktail reception on Saturday, April 22nd. If your spouse/significant other will be joining us, please email Alissa Yi at ayi@manhattan-institute.org with their full name and any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, we cannot cover any travel expenses for spouses/significant others and are unable to accommodate spouses/significant others during the rest of the conference sessions.

If you are planning to bring your spouse/significant other, you must book your hotel room directly with the hotel. Please note that you will be required to pay the full amount of the hotel room. Following the conference, you may submit for reimbursement for half of the cost of a standard hotel room. Please contact Alissa Yi if you'd like to book your room in our block.
