The Adam Smith Society is a nationwide, chapter-based association of MBA students and business leaders who work to promote on campus debate and discussion about the moral, social, and economic benefits of capitalism.

What We Do

Working with MBA student leaders, the Adam Smith Society helps coordinate on-campus events that give MBA students access to prominent business leaders, academics, journalists, and public officials. Speakers discuss their experiences and offer insights about the connections between successful businesses, the maintenance of our nation’s free institutions, and a robust civil society. The Adam Smith Society also organizes national and regional events for student members and alumni.

Speakers

Adam Smith Society on-campus events have featured speakers from business, the media, the public sector, and academics. The Society maintains a Speakers’ Bureau that connects nationally-known speakers with our chapters.

National Meeting

The Adam Smith Society convenes an annual National Meeting in New York City that brings student, alumni members, and speakers together for two days of networking, keynotes, panels, and breakout sessions. To assist with attendance, generous travel scholarships are available to the Society’s student members.

Leadership Retreat

Connecting our student and professional chapter leaders with Adam Smith Society leadership and prominent guests puts all of our chapters on the same footing. We host a retreat every summer to bring young business leaders together.
