Chicago Chapters Discuss 2016 Election with Henry Olsen

Henry Olsen, co-author of The Four Faces of the Republican Party and the Fight for the 2016 Presidential Nomination, was a guest of our Chicago chapters this week. Speaking with the Chicago Professional Chapter on Monday, April 25, and a joint meeting of our Booth and Kellogg chapters on Tuesday, April 26, Olsen led discussions about the issues of the 2016 election, and put the debates and battles over both parties' nomination in the context of past contests.

Ken Mehlman Talks with New York Professional Chapter

On March 29, the Smith Soc New York City Professional Chapter hosted Ken Mehlman, the Global Head of Public Affairs at KKR. A former campaign manager for President George W. Bush, and a former Chairman of the RNC, Mehlman was part of a salon dinner where he discussed his current role at KKR, ongoing developments in party politics, and the 2016 election. The event included professional members from the NYC area as well as students from our chapters at NYU Stern and the Columbia Business School.

Whole Foods CEO John Mackey Visits UVA Darden Chapter

John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods Markets, spoke on March 22nd at the Smith Soc chapter at the UVA Darden School of Business. Mackey spoke on the concept of "Conscious Capitalism," which he has written and spoken about extensively.
