On July 19, we will be hosting Stephen Trauber, Vice Chairman and Global Head of Energy Power Chemical at Citigroup. One of the nation's leading experts on the energy sector, Mr. Trauber has served as a financial advisor on over $300 billion of energy transactions, including many of the most significant M&A and financing transactions in the oilfield service, exploration, production, refining and marketing sectors.

Not only does Mr. Trauber have a unique and unparalled perspective on energy, he also has enormous experience doing business and serving the community in Houston. About the Speaker

Stephen Trauber is the Vice Chairman and Global Head of Energy Power Chemical at Citigroup. He joined Citi in 2010 as a Vice Chairman and Global Head of Energy. Mr. Trauber previously worked at UBS Investment Bank from 2003 - 2010 as a Vice Chairman and Global Head of Energy.  Mr. Trauber began his career with Credit Suisse First Boston (1988–1995) and subsequently managed Morgan Stanley’s Energy Group in Houston (1995–2003).

In additional to his work in the financial space, Mr. Trauber serves on the boards of several organizations, including Theater Under the Stars, and the Society for the Performing Arts. He also previously served on the Mayor’s Economic Development Task Force for the city of Houston, and he and his wife are highly-regarded philanthropists in the area. A Rice alum, Mr. Trauber serves as an overseer of the Jones Business School.

Mr. Trauber received his BA in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University in 1984.  He was an Austin Scholar and earned his MBA from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in 1988.  He is married to Leticia and has three children.
