REGISTRATION:
Please note that the number of participants is limited and RSVP's are taken on a first come first served basis. While we would like to include all Adam Smith Society members, we are focused on providing an intimate environment where MBA students and professional members will have opportunities to network with speakers, VIPS and other attendees. To ensure your space, please RSVP. If your chapter is sold out, please contact us at events@adamsmithsociety.com to be placed on the waitlist. We will be in touch if additional spots are made available.
Please note that you must be logged into your Adam Smith Society account to RSVP for the 2018 National Meeting. You can login or register for an account on the left sidebar. Only paid national members in good standing will be admitted to the National Meeting. To pay your dues, please click here. LODGING
A block of rooms has been reserved at the InterContinental New York Barclay, where the conference will be held. Complimentary shared lodging is available for all out-of-town student national members for both Friday and Saturday nights. Please indicate whether you will require a hotel room and any roommate preferences you may have when RSVP'ing. If you request to share a room with another attendee, please ensure that both of you have indicated your roommate preference on your RSVP. (Note: Rooms are double-occupancy, and you will be assigned a roommate unless you make other arrangements, per the below.) Complimentary hotel rooms cannot be guaranteed after March 16, 2018.
Please note that your room confirmation will be provided separately, and at a later date. Upon check-in, you will be required to provide a credit card for security and incidentals; however the Adam Smith Society will cover the room charges and all applicable taxes directly.
We do not provide complimentary single rooms for student members. However, we do have a block of single rooms at a reduced rate available for professional members and student members who would prefer a single room. To book a single room, you are expected to book your own reservation directly through the hotel by clicking here or by calling 1-800-424-6835 and referencing Adam Smith Society (AS8). Please note that if you choose to do this, you will be required to pay the full amount of the hotel room. Student members that choose to book their own single room should not indicate that they require a hotel room when RSVP'ing.
TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENTS:
All student national members are eligible for a 50% travel scholarship to cover coach class transportation expenses (air, car, train, bus) and transportation to/from the airport/train station. You are required to book your own travel - funds are provided on a reimbursement basis, and will be processed following the event. More information on how to submit for your travel scholarship will be provided following attendance at the National Meeting. We do not reimburse for the cost of food, seat upgrades, checked baggage, or travel that was booked less than a week in advance. We cannot provide any travel scholarships for professional members.
SPOUSES & SIGNIFICANT OTHERS:
We welcome members' spouses and significant others to join us at the closing cocktail party on Saturday, April 21st. If your spouse/significant other will be joining us, please email events@adamsmithsociety.com with their full name and any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, we cannot cover any travel expenses for spouses/significant others and are unable to accommodate spouses/significant others during the rest of the conference sessions.
If you are planning to bring your spouse/significant other, you must book your hotel room directly with the hotel. Please note that you will be required to pay the full amount of the hotel room. Following the conference, you may submit for reimbursement for half of the cost of a standard hotel room.
